The Bernards Township Republican Municipal Committee (RMC) is extremely proud to announce the election of Dr. Shilpa Clott as the new Vice-Chair of the Republican Municipal Committee. Dr. Clott was elected unanimously by the RMC to fill the remaining term of John Carpenter who is stepping down from the Executive Committee but will remain the representative for District 3. Shilpa has truly hit the ground running and is helping lead the organization together with Chair Scott Mitzner, Treasurer Alice Smyk and Secretary Lisa Baumann.
Dr. Shilpa Clott is a board certified Ob/Gyn with over 25 years experience. She is a solo practitioner locally and was recently the Vice-Chair of Ob/Gyn at RWJUH-Somerset Medical Center, as well as a Clinical Associate Professor at RWJ Medical School. She is involved with several clinical research firms to improve the quality of care in women’s health. She also serves on the Bernards Township Board of Health. Shilpa has been a resident of Basking Ridge for 23 years. She currently lives off of Meeker Road with her husband Matt, a Plastic & Hand Surgeon, and their three children Tarin, Maya and Deven, who have all gone through the Bernards Township public school system. She has an intense passion to forge a better tomorrow for her family and the entire community.
Chairman Scott Mitzner stated, "We are beyond excited to welcome Shilpa as our Vice-Chair. Shilpa represents all of the best of Bernards Township, including being extremely intelligent, compassionate and committed to those around her. Shilpa will always look out for the best interests of all of us here in Bernards. I could not think of a better person to help lead the RMC now and into the future."
Dr. Clott added, “It is my honor to serve as Vice-Chair of such an incredible and dedicated organization. I assure everyone that I will work my absolute hardest to achieve all of our goals and help all of Bernards Township."
